Yuuri Katsuki/Victor Nikiforov - urban legend love life/lack of
(Anonymous) 2017-01-22 04:00 am (UTC)(link)In reality, Yuuri's time in Detroit may or may not have granted him a(n entirely sincere) reputation as a player and a sex god (to Yuuri's consternation), while Viktor has barely made it past second base with the few partners he has had.
Fluff, angst (if the filler wishes), and, of course, hilarity ensues.

Victor was having a lovely night. It was a balmy summer evening and he was at an outside oden stand, the perfect weather to eat gently fried food and drink sweet sake. The evening was brought to the height of perfection because Yuri had uncharacteristically agreed to come along and was even (gasp!) drinking with him! It was wonderful!
There was something about Yuri when he had just a little bit to drink. Victor's more sober mind said that it was just fond memories of the night they met. But, it was also true that a little bit of intoxication took the edge of hesitance and self-consciousness off of Yuri and he was saying the most endearing things.
"What kind of food do you think Yurio is?" Victor asked, eyes sparkling with mischief as he waved a skewered and fried chicken breast at Yuri.
Yuri squinted into his cup for a moment in sincere contemplation before replying, "Probably a radish."
Victor almost fell out of his chair trying to suppress his surprised laughter. When he got himself mostly under control, he asked his follow up question.
"Why is Yurio like a radish?" he gasped.
Yuri turned to look at him seriously and answered, "Because he's bitter, but once you get used to him you'll want him in everything."
Victor let his laugh ring out, startling some birds that were pecking around some dropped food near the stand. "That's very insightful, Yuri!" he exclaimed.
"Thank you," Yuri replied, visibly preening. "It's my turn to ask a question."
"Yes, absolutely!" Victor agreed, already anxiously anticipating. They had been playing this game of asking silly questions back and forth since they got there and it had become increasingly fun the longer they played and the more Yuri drank.
"What-" Yuri broke off and coughed into his fist, his face flushing more than it had been before. Victor would normally think he was embarrassed, but maybe it was just the sake. "What do you hate most in bed?" Yuri asked.
Victor froze in place. He knew that if he was the kind of person who blushed easily like Yuri, he would be fire hydrant red. He was torn between finding some semi-believable reason to retreat from the situation completely and being impressed that Yuri had hit his stride so soon. Had he let him drink too much? Was he a bad coach? They still had to train tomorrow.
"Whaaaaat about you?" Victor said slowly, slapping bright smile on the end to cover up his stumble. "What do you hate the most?" Victor repeated back at Yuri.
Yuri squinted at him, still slumped over the counter. He seemed to mull over whether or not to force Victor to answer the question or to go along with his diversion.
He must have decided to go along with it, because he flopped down fully on the counter before answering, "Pillow princesses. I hate them."
Victor's confusion must have showed on his face. In his honest heart, he knew very little about sex from actual practice. He watched porn, sure, and he definitely talked a good game. But, he had only ever had sex a handful of times and each of them had been fast and unsatisfying. It also left his sexual lexicon lacking in the extreme.
"Pillow princesses are people who just want to lay on their back like a dead fish and let the other person do all the work," Yuri explained, his accent getting a little stronger as he spoke.
Victor's mind started whirring right away. Did that mean that Yuri liked to fuck and not be fucked? Yuri didn't like lovers who didn't participate. But, how does one participate in being fucked OTHER THAN to lay there and take it? If he and Yuri ever had sex, would Yuri hate it if Victor didn't figure out the answer to the last question?
"Now, you have to answer. What do you hate the most?"
"Ah!" Victor fumbled. What did he hate the most? Everything? Nothing? Nothing, maybe he could spin that. "I'm not sure that there's anything I especially dislike," Victor said slowly, pretending to be rifling through memories for something. "Everything can be fun if you have a mind to make it fun!" he ended with.
He deflated a little when he noticed that Yuri was giving him a thoroughly unimpressed expression.
"Not even when the other person has terrible breath? All they've been eating is garlic fries and stale beer all night and they want to huff and puff in your face and kiss the whole time?" Yuri asked, leaning forward as if the memory itself was making him angry.
"Uh..." Victor fumbled for something to say. Could that be fun? That sounded terrible.
"Or, when the other person wants to talk dirty, but takes it way too far and then acts like you're an asshole when you put a stop to it?"
"Um..." Victor mumbled. Does that actually happen to people? Had that happened to Yuri?
"I'm sure people have built you up into this whole ridiculous god in their head and then when they actually get with you they act like you're a jerk because you won't-" Yuri flailed his hands in the air a little as he seemed to struggle with something to come up with "lick asshole or something!"
"Ah!" Victor slapped a hand over his own mouth before a childish giggle could escape his mouth. It probably wasn't very adult or experienced to laugh at 'lick asshole'.
Yuri calmed down a little, took a deep breath, and carefully moved his hands back to his lap. He was turned in his seat to face Victor fully. "You've really never had a bad experience? You're not just being," Yuri struggled again to find the word, "nice?"
It was Victor's turn to struggle. He should tell the truth, shouldn't he? The normally reclusive and private Yuri had just tumbled a lot of dirty laundry out to him, whether he meant to or not. He could return a little honesty, couldn't he.
"Actually..." Victor began. He could feel his heart beating in his chest. Why was he so nervous? Other people might react badly, but he was sure Yuri would be kind.
Yuri leaned forward, his eyebrows raising.
"I don't have very much experience," Victor finished.
Yuri didn't move, didn't really change his expression, so Victor continued.
"The few experiences I have weren't amazing, but I didn't absolutely hate it. So, I'm sorry, I don't really know what I hate. Although, all those things you talked about sound like they would be disappointing," Victor said with a smile.
"Oh," Yuri said quietly, still looking frozen.
Victor shrugged and let his smile get a little less stiff.
"Oh!" Yuri exclaimed, his face exploding in red embarrassment. "I didn't- I mean, I had assumed-"
"That's okay!" Victor jumped in to save Yuri from his own stumbling apology. "A lot of people misunderstand! And, to be honest, I feed into it. It helps with my image," Victor struck a pose that could have come from Vogue and was happy to see it had the desired effect of making Yuri laugh awkwardly.
"I am sorry," Yuri said, still smiling a little. "I didn't mean to assume." He seemed a lot more sober now. Victor hoped he didn't ruin the night.
"Not at all! I hope that you don't find it too disappointing," Victor confided, hoping that he wasn't showing his hand too much, but hoping his confidence would carry him through as it usually did.
"I'm not disappointed," Yuri said, leaning in. His expression was intense again, even though he was still smiling. "Quite the opposite."
"Oh!" It was Victor's turn to take Yuri's exclamation. Maybe Yuri was still a little drunk, despite appearances to the contrary.
"Should we order more chicken?" Victor blurted out and then froze. What the fuck. Why did he say that.
But, Yuri only grinned in reply. "And tamago," he agreed.
Victor smiled in relief and turned to order in halting Japanese from the old man behind the fryer. If he was shaking a little in nervousness, he tried not let it show.
