Viktor/Yuuri, Viktor/Yuri, Yuuri/Yuri - petplay

Yuri is Viktor and Yuuri's cute little kitten. They love to spoil him; he wears a collar made of the finest velvet money can buy, gets a bowl of cream every night at supper-time and if he's really good, he's even allowed on the bed.

Hello, Yana!

Starting with apologies, as usual. I’m bitterly sorry I couldn’t be there for the annual show this year, and I’m sure Makkachin concurs. Double sorry for being so late to send you and Naida congratulations on your victory! Next year we’ll certainly be there to compliment the winner in person (unless, of course, we turn out the ones accepting compliments ;) ).

You were curious about the new pet I mentioned in my last letter. I’m afraid I might get carried away filling you in as we’re still in that classic honeymoon phase. Here’s the bare bones of it, before the gushing starts: it’s a kitten we’ve made a part of our household several weeks ago in a rather spontaneous fashion. Looking back, it might be for the better everything came together before we knew it, seeing how much controversy there usually is around arrangements of this kind. Now that the dust has settled, I can tell all three of us are happier for it.

On to the kitten! I can’t pinpoint the breed, sadly, and have nobody to ask - from the look of it, he’s a stray that has been hanging around these parts on and off for some time. My bet is on something fancy, though. Spectacularly beautiful coloring and amazing grace, even by feline standards. It’s too early to make any bets while he’s still a kitten, but I get the feeling he’s going to come out petite for a tom. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part! Never realized how much I missed having a pet you can carry around on one arm.

In part, he’s responsible for my late reply: you know how these little things can throw your life out for whack. Yuuri and I had to tweak our schedule significantly, to the point where we rarely leave the house without him. He’s the kind that gets lonely easily and, what’s more, trashes the room out of pure idleness. We try to keep him in our field of view as much as possible, both for our own enjoyment and to keep him out of mischief. And he certainly didn’t take long to get used to it - so much for all the proverbial independence and standoffishness. Sometimes I ask myself why we even bothered providing a separate bed for him if any other works just as well.

I can see you, who have always been a firm and consistent trainer yourself and known me for one, side-eyeing that last paragraph a little. That’s only fair. As much as I try to come up with excuses (too young, still adapting, above all, a cat), we’re definitely dropping the ball here. «Overindulged» doesn’t even scratch the surface of it. Yuuri needs to stop meekly feeding him whatever item on the plate he’s called dibs on. I need to stop being so amused by his hissing, growling and going all predator-like at us on the rare occasions he doesn’t instantly get his way. And both of us really need to stop blowing so much money on outfits, and toys, and luxury collars. Alas! Let’s hope it will come to us naturally when he’s less cute.

So, that’s how life has been going for me lately. How are you doing? Anything new in the shelter? Any chance of me getting some photos from the show? Hope to hear from you soon!

Best regards from the three of us,
Victor, Yuuri and Kitten

P.S. I meant the four of us, of course! Let’s keep that little slip of tongue from Makkachin.

First time I've read a fill done this way and I've fallen in love. I need more! Maybe messages between Victor and Yuuri if one is away?

Requester is clapping their hands in glee. This was such a fun fill, authornon! And such a unique take on it, like above nonnie I've never read anything in this style but it was great. :D I love Viktor's descriptions of Yuri. And Yuuri hand-feeding him, oh my. Thank you so much!
