I'd love to read an AU where Otabek is a prince and an omega, therefore responsible for leading his kingdom and bearing an heir. When he's told that his marriage is imminent, Otabek is forced to admit that he's already secretly mated to his friend Yuri, an alpha of dubious background who is not popular with royal officials.
He expects the worst but Yuri and the officials end up striking a deal. Yuri and Otabek have to live stream Otabek's next heat to prove to everyone that the relationship is consummated. If Otabek bears an heir, the relationship stands and Yuri and Otabek can marry. If Otabek doesn't become pregnant, the royal officials can declare Yuri unsuitable and find Otabek another partner.
